Luxury and Deluxe Tours

Splendors of Europe offers luxury class tours to all our destinations and deluxe class tours to some of our destinations.  Luxury and deluxe class tours follow the same itinerary and include most of the same features.  The difference is in the opulence of the hotels and the extravagance of the dining venues.

Accommodations on Luxury and Deluxe class tours

Hotels on luxury tours are generally rated four or five stars however sometimes a superior three star hotel is the best choice.   Hotels on Deluxe tours are generally rated at three stars, and sometimes four stars.  Accommodations are selected because they are comfortable, convenient, pleasant and provide helpful services.  We also prefer hotels that either offer a park like setting or the convenience of close proximity to a historic city center.  If available, we will choose a hotel that also offers an authentic cultural ambiance.  To learn more about our hotels click here. Restaurants on Luxury and Deluxe class tours

The restaurant standards at all of our destinations are high so you will enjoy terrific dining on all our tours.  On deluxe class tours we enjoy superior service in a charming sometimes elegant ambiance.   Deluxe class tour dinners are generally three courses and include a starter, the main course and desert.  You choose off of the menu, and beverages include coffee, tea, mineral water of soft drinks, same as the luxury tour. The dining venues on luxury class tours tend to be a bit more extravagant and may include additional courses.  For additional information on our featured restaurants see the restaurant photo gallery link at the end of each tour itinerary, or see Fine European Dining with Splendors of Europe for general information.

Itineraries on Deluxe class tours

The itineraries on the luxury and deluxe tour are the same.  The same sites are visited, the same excursions are provided, and the same first class ground transportation is included.  The group size is also limited to 12 maximum and the services provided by the tour escorts are the same.  Hot air ballooning on the Burgundy and the Loire Valley tours is not included on the deluxe class tours.
